EVANGELISM AND WORLD MISSIONS
"…you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8b).
It is the responsibility of all who have come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to labor in making Him known to others. This duty is not limited to the officers of the church alone, it is the obligation of all true disciples of Christ. We all have a responsibility to share
the gospel with our own Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. We want to be more than a “come and see” church, we also want to be a “go and tell” church. To this end Berean actively participates in several evangelistic ministries. We regularly labor in a local assisted living home for the elderly, in various jail and prison ministries, and seasonally in door to door evangelism. None of us can do everything, but all of us must do something.
Our concern for the spread of the gospel does not end with our own city, county, or state. We are actively concerned for the expansion of God’s kingdom to the uttermost parts of the earth as well. While not all of us are called to leave our homeland to labor as missionaries on foreign fields, all of us do have a
responsibility to "hold the ropes" for those who are, through fervent prayer
and financial support. Our church is proactive in world missions through the Reformed Baptist Mission Services (RBMS), the foreign missions wing of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America. We also contribute financially to the translation of the Holy Scriptures into foreign languages through the Trinitarian Bible Society.
